We are currently seeking Senior Virtualization and Kernel Driver Software Engineers to join our growing engineering team. As a key member of our software team, you will be responsible for core features related to BLADE’s virtualization products.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, designing, developing and documenting virtualization features. You will work with software and hardware teams, designing and developing new features and products for next generation Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 2—Layer 7 networking switches and appliances. Other responsibilities include conducting extensive testing on the software developed and providing technical support and problem resolution during testing and implementation.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of extensive experience in UNIX/Linux kernel and driver code development with direct experience in networking drivers.
• A minimum of two years in Unix/Linux networking device drivers. Candidate must have a solid understanding of UNIX internals and device driver debugging techniques.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP protocols.
• Ability to design and specify new software features from the ground up; experience in a complete development cycle and a release of at least one commercial product.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills; creative problem-solving and independent technical decision making capabilities.

Desired Requirements:

• A good understanding of core virtualization technologies specifically network I/O virtualization is a definite plus.
• Proven ability to deliver commercial, enterprise quality software.
• Understanding of system architecture, including networking and storage is highly desirable.
• Experience in writing third party drivers/modules/plug-ins for UNIX OS using published DDK/SDK.
• Multi-threaded design and programming.
• Experience in dynamic working environments.

The Support Engineer will work with Field System Network Architects (SNAs), 1st and 2nd level support teams and directly with end customers in resolving mission critical technical problems. Additionally he /she will lead resolution of complex problems through collaboration with test and development teams. In addition to technical talent, this position requires a positive attitude and excellent customer communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with the end customers and outline their problem details to development / test teams following escalation process while parallel lab recreate efforts are in progress.

Responsibilities:

Must be able to quickly and efficiently respond back to customer reported issues. Understanding of complex customer issues and setting up lab recreates / simulations of production environments in our lab will be primary responsibility.

Effective data gathering and analysis skills are needed for quick resolution or escalations into test/development issues.

As part of new products launch requires participation in the beta testing of upcoming products and major SW releases.

Timely follow up on customer commitments and active participation in process / product refinements through feedback to development, test and PLM teams will be needed.

Requirements:

• Must be capable of learning and troubleshooting operating system and architecture related issues.
• Must be a self starter and eager to learn new technologies.
• Must be able to take analytical approach to complex topologies and deployment related field service requests.
• Must be able to learn and propagate the knowledge through written and verbal tech trainings.

Work Experience:

• Experience in technical troubleshooting in data center and/or Blade server environments along with strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• 2-5 years experience in High Speed Networking

Responsibilities: Serve as strategic control point in company’s business model and provide direct influence into primary customer channels (HP/IBM and business partners/resellers). As a Sr. System QA Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and hands-on testing of quality-related services for our products. Key responsibilities include testing and troubleshooting networking products running in large-scale, highly-available network infrastructure. You will develop and execute test plans and test cases, perform documentation reviews, and work with Development and other organizations in the company to ensure the products meet software quality standards.

Work Experience: 5+ years experience in testing Networking or similar products. 2+ years experience in automation with at least one of the following scripting language—Perl/tcl/expect/python. Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches. L4/L7 content switching testing experience is a plus. Experience with testing hardware (Server) is a plus.

Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of L2 protocols such as MSTP, RSTP, LACP, QoS, etc. In-depth knowledge of L3 protocols such as IGMP, RIP1/2, OSPF, BGP, etc. Hands-on experience building and configuring all aspects of complex test configurations (clients, servers, network, and router configuration). Working experience with test tools like traffic analyzers (e.g. Ethereal, EtherPeek) and traffic generation tools (e.g., Spirent, Ixia). Strong background in Load, Reliability, Scalability and Performance Testing experience. In-depth knowledge with Linux/Unix and Windows OS. Experience with Black Box Test development.

A good understanding of any of the following—QoS (DiffServ), multicast, L4-L7 content switching or device driver programming—is a definite plus.

BLADE is growing our sales team and has immediate openings for Senior Sales Executives.

The primary function of the Senior Sales Executive is to generate and close qualified sales opportunities for BLADE branded and 10Gb Ethernet BladeServer products within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive demand in the end user community for BLADE branded and 10Gb Ethernet BladeServer products within the assigned territory.
• Generate revenue within assigned territory to exceed quarterly and annual quota.
• Generate sales forecast to exceed 3x sales quota at all times. Identify sales inhibitors, future product requirements etc.
• Create and implement sales and marketing programs that result in increased revenue and market share for BLADE branded and BLADE supplied 10Gb Ethernet BladeServer products sold through HP and IBM.
• Develop and maintain sales and marketing relationship with IBM and HP sales and technical personnel—especially those individuals focused on 10Gb Ethernet marketplace—within territory as well as their key executives, resellers, distributors.
• Identify and develop initial relationship with resellers selling into the 10Gb Ethernet marketplace—coordinating marketing resources as needed.
• Manage the day to day execution of partner sales and marketing plan activities.
• Ensure customer satisfaction in all its facets with regards to BLADE products
• Serve as a channel of information between the end user customer and BLADE sales, senior management and development group.
