Customer Testimonials

"DAS-3 is an ambitious High Performance Distributed Computing (HPDC) environment prototyping various novel protocols and systems for the processing and sharing of very large amounts of data on a computational grid. In the large-scale use cases investigated on our system, often much higher bandwidths, lower latencies and more consistent network performance are required than would be typical for enterprise environments. For our project, we chose the BLADE RackSwitch equipment specifically based on its rich functionality combined with excellent price/performance."

“CariNet's Cloud Computing services, including our Cloud Center Datacenter as a Service, rely on BLADE Network Technologies' RackSwitch to provide security, costs savings and scalability while meeting specific business and technical needs. CariNet's cloud computing environment is only as strong and dependable as the hardware environment it runs on, which is why we leave nothing to chance in using BLADE's RackSwitch to deliver the best-of-breed networking essential for cloud computing.”

"BLADE Network Technologies' switches with VMready network virtualization for the IBM BladeCenter along with VMware vSphere / ESX 3.5 provides the majority of our 63 medical professionals with administrative software and patient data that operates securely and efficiently. This deployment provides a high-availability architecture platform in two geographically separate computer rooms and fully meets our requirements for security, availability, scalability, processing speed, resources optimization and ease of ownership and administration."

"Comverse, the world's leading provider of software and systems enabling value-added services for the communications industry, started using the BNT switch in early 2005 for our Mobile Internet HUB while looking for a cost-effective Load Balancer for use in telecom environments. Comverse Mobile Internet HUB operates as a smart pipe core which enables operators to offer the open Internet to their customers by enhancing the user experience, managing the data traffic and applying the operator's business policies on the data network. Comverse Mobile Internet HUB is designed to support the growing demand for mobile data bandwidth, supporting a throughput of tens of gigabits of data per second. The BNT switch provided the right balance between functionality, dependability and cost, especially due to the tight integration with the IBM BladeCenter. The initial uses for it were as a standard L4 Load Balancer hosting Virtual IPs in a fully redundant architecture, however pretty soon we required more functionality, (such as "transparent Cache Redirection" or "delayed binding"). The BNT switch met those challenges 'head on' and its flexibility still manages to amaze me sometimes. Today the switches are still being used for low capacity systems up to several hundred megabits. "

"King's College London needed a computing solution which could cope with the demands of analysing hundreds of gigabytes of our new genomic data. We generate up to 400GB of useable data every 10 days therefore superior processing power was vital. The OCF HPC system installation, which incorporates IBM's iDataplex and BLADE Network Technologies' switches, has enabled us to process high data volumes easily due to the high-speed network and storage capacity. We have received fantastic training and support, both prior to and since the implementation of the HPC environment. The installation will allow us to process data more effectively and will greatly enhance our ability to archive, retrieve and analyse our data."

“When we decided to upgrade and expand our blade server infrastructure, we installed BLADE Network Technologies’ switches for HP’s BladeSystem c-Class servers. One of the key things this allowed us to do is run a Hotlink feature to enable failover between the server switches. It completely meets our needs as it is contained within the server enclosures and does not give rise to any incompatibility issues with our existing core network.”
