Senior Support Engineer:
Senior Support Engineer will work with Field System Network Architects (SNAs), First and 2nd level support teams and directly with end customers in resolving mission critical technical problems. Additionally he /she will lead resolution of complex problems through collaboration with test, SW development, Marketing, Sales and Product management teams. In addition to technical talent this position requires a positive attitude and excellent customer communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with the end customers and outline their problem details to development / test teams following escalation process while parallel lab recreate efforts are in progress.

Responsibilities:
Must be able to quickly and efficiently respond back to customer reported issues. Understanding of complex customer issues and setting up lab recreates / simulations of production environments in our lab will be primary responsibility.
Effective data gathering and analysis skills are needed for quick resolution or escalations into test/development issues.
As part of new products launch you will be required to participate in the beta testing of upcoming products and major SW releases.
Timely follow up on customer commitments and active participation in process / product refinements through feedback to development, test and PLM teams will be needed.

Requirements:
Hands on experience working on L2-L7 routing protocols/switching including but not limited to IGMP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, PIM, LACP, ECMP, SNMP, RMON, ACL-Filtering, Security and Load Balancing. Must be capable of learning and troubleshooting (Windows, Linux, UNIX) operating System and architecture related issues. Experience in technical troubleshooting in data center and/or Blade server environments along with strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

Must be a self starter and eager to learn new technologies. Experience in SQA or Dev-test is a plus along with strong verbal/written communication skills. Must be able to take analytical approach to complex topologies and deployment related field service requests. Must be able to learn and propagate the knowledge through written and verbal tech trainings. Other than English, French, Korean or German language skill set is a plus.


Education / Experience:
MS/BS in CS/EE or equivalent educational and technical experience
3-6 years experience in High Speed Networking

Position Title: Buyer

Summary:

Procure materials and services from external suppliers adhering to best practices and company policies, keeping a strong focus on purchasing at the lowest cost consistent with considerations for quality, reliability of source, and urgency of need. Study market trends, interview and survey suppliers, and recommend sources of supply. Support new product development, introduction, and sustaining products to meet BLADE’s business objectives. Support sourcing efforts for both MRO and sustaining products. Obtain lead-times, supply assurance, quality, service levels, flexibility, certified sourcing such as TAA, UL, CSA, CCC, MII, and etc. with a completive bids process. Analyze quotations received; select or recommend suppliers; and schedule deliveries. Monitor open order status and pre-expedites to meet schedule requirements. Proactively manage purchasing activities through their successful completion. Work with accounting personnel to resolve purchasing and payment related issues. Issue purchase orders for services, products, repairs, field replaceable units, MRO and NPI items. Develop and maintain necessary records and files for efficient operation.

Primary Duties, Responsibilities:
  • Plans, conducts, and supervises complex assignments. Works under general supervision.
  • Establishes and approves sources of materials, services, and supplies. When necessary, expedites material deliveries. Minimizes excess and obsolete inventories.

Sustaining Software Engineer - Santa Clara, CA

We are seeking senior sustaining software engineers with extensive experience in troubleshooting systems software and networking products. As a key member of the team you will be responsible for fixing customer reported issues on BLADE’s exciting portfolio of network features and products in a timely manner!

Senior Hardware Design Engineer - Ottawa, ON Canada

Job Summary:

The Senior Hardware Engineer, applying the standard principles and techniques of electrical engineering, will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the design and development of hardware for networking switches and appliances. The position requires working effectively with project managers, manufacturing test engineers, the operations team, and software engineers, to accomplish the assigned tasks and goals while maintaining schedule commitments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with new product design and the process of delivering the product into volume production. They will be expected to take on senior level responsibilities such as mentoring, project management and team leading.


Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all aspects of board level, FPGA and/or system level hardware development including architecture, specification, design, schematic capture, layout, DVT, regulatory testing, hardware/software integration and manufacture test.
  • Interpret product requirements.

Summary

Job Summary:
The Sustaining Engineer is a key member of the engineering team who works to support and maintain the existing product line and resolve short and long term technical issues related to production and field service concerns including Failure Analysis (FA) and problem resolution on non-performing units. The position involves interfacing efficiently with Manufacturing Test Engineers, the Operations Team, Software Engineers, Contract Manufacturers (CMs), technical field people, and program managers in the implementation of Engineering changes and assessment of quality problems, monitoring of material obsolescence and qualification of new or replacement components, development of corrective and preventive actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Job Summary:

  • Works closely with marketing and sales to identify principal markets and outline a communications strategy for penetrating these markets.
  • Is responsible for the tactical implementation of corporate communications and product delivery programs.
  • Develops sales collateral and advertising campaigns - both on-line and print. 
  • Works closely with our public relations agency to institute PR initiatives for promoting BLADE Network Technologies and our spokespersons
  • Works closely with WW and regional sales teams to develop integrated cross territorial marketing campaigns for direct sales, channels and OEMs
  • Selects, budgets, plans and manages events such as tradeshows and seminars, working with vendors and contractors as necessary.
  • Manages website content and updates, working with marketing and website developers
  • Represent BLADE Network Technologies at tradeshows and events.

Qualifications:           
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in marketing and communications within the high tech industry. Experience in networking industry a significant plus. 
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and managing outbound marketing projects & product delivery.
  • Ability to interface with, manage and influence multiple internal and external resources on multiple projects to achieve desired results, on time, within budget.

Senior System QA Engineer Santa Clara, CA 

As a Sr. System QA Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and hands-on testing of quality-related services for our products. Key responsibilities include testing and troubleshooting networking products running in large-scale, highly-available network infrastructure. You will develop and execute test plans and test cases, perform documentation reviews, and work with Development and other organizations in the company to ensure the products meet software quality standards.

Work Experience: 5+ years experience in testing Networking or similar products. 2+ years experience in automation with at least one of the following scripting language—Perl/tcl/expect/python. Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches. L4/L7 content switching testing experience is a plus. Experience with testing hardware (Server) is a plus.

Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of L2 protocols such as MSTP, RSTP, LACP, QoS, etc. In-depth knowledge of L3 protocols such as IGMP, RIP1/2, OSPF, BGP, etc. Hands-on experience building and configuring all aspects of complex test configurations (clients, servers, network, and router configuration). Working experience with test tools like traffic analyzers (e.g. Ethereal, EtherPeek) and traffic generation tools (e.g., Spirent, Ixia). Strong background in Load, Reliability, Scalability and Performance Testing experience. In-depth knowledge with Linux/Unix and Windows OS. Experience with Black Box Test development.

In this role you will work with software and hardware teams, designing and developing new features and products for next generation Layer 2—Layer 3 and Layer 2—Layer 7 networking switches and appliances. You will be involved in modifying available operating systems to build new product features and tools. Responsibilities
